Matt Sullivan was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended Northwestern University, where he earned his B.A. in Earth and Planetary Sciences with a focus in Paleobiology. David Anthony Leon, M.D.

David Leon was born and raised in the Washington, D.C., area. He attended University of Virginia, where he majored in biology and did research in circadian rhythms. While there, he was also involved with music and rugby. After graduation, he returned to the D.C. area to complete an M.S. in physiology at Georgetown University. 随后，他在佛蒙特大学拉纳医学院(University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine)就读之前，曾在一家私人皮肤科诊所担任急诊科抄写员和临床助理.
