Master of Social Work Field Education Program

The Johns Hopkins Hospital has a tradition of commitment to professional social work education and has been a longstanding field placement site. Fieldwork is an important component of social work education. It is through the integration of the theoretical material presented in the classroom and the opportunity for guided fieldwork practice that students are prepared for professional practice. The goal of the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Social Work Field Education Program is to prepare second-year MSW students for practice within the health care social work field.
